Brian J. Sherman is a partner at Goren, Cherof, Doody and Ezrol, P.A. Mr. Sherman’s practice primarily focuses on the firm’s governmental clients with an emphasis on  planning and zoning, code enforcement, procurement, police legal matters, and contract review. Mr. Sherman also assists our clients with enforcement of the City code as it relates to quality of life matters such as nusiance abatement, foreclosures and declaratory judgments.

Mr. Sherman has presented at the American Association of Code Enforcement’s 2020 Conference, and Mr. Sherman has provided presentations  to the Florida Association of Code Enforcement.  He has provided multiple lectures to the Broward County Bar Association’s Roger Staley Real Property Seminar, and was a speaker for the Florida League of Cities Medical Marijuana Symposium.  He is currently serving as a Board Member of the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit and is a member of the Florida League of Cities Municipal Administration Policy Committee.  Mr. Sherman previously served as a member of the City of Sunrise’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board.

Prior to joining Goren, Cherof, Doody & Ezrol, Mr. Sherman served as an Assistant State Attorney where he prosecuted cases in the Juvenile Trial Unit, Misdemeanor Trial Unit, Felony Trial Unit, and Domestic Violence Unit.
